Edge is Rhythm Dance Center's highest level performing company made up of distinguished dancers with outstanding technique, performance quality and style. Edge represents Rhythm Dance Center at local and national talent competitions, conventions, and performances. These dancers have a focus and desire to fully commit themselves to the demands of Edge. We pride ourselves on training well-rounded, diverse dancers and provide our Edge members with opportunities not found at any other studio in Atlanta. We feel the relationships developed with faculty and peers through dance are unmatched by most sports and disciplines.

Edge Involves:

  • Choosing dance as a priority over all other extra curricular activities
  • Attendance to conventions/competitions and summer nationals/events
  • Weekend rehearsals and weekday classes in all styles
  • Opportunity to audition for solos, extra groups, and guest choreographers
  • Classes & workshops with guest teachers/choreographers at Rhythm
  • Tap the Map Workshop at Rhythm - Fall 2024
  • Potential additional in-house workshops as scheduled
  • Attendance to Edge Summer Intensive
  • Attendance to National Rehearsals the week prior to Nationals
  • Attendance to Nationals - Summer of 2025 in Myrtle Beach, SC
  • Participation in Holiday Show, Company Concerts,Year-End Shows

SUMMER 2025
Edge will be attending DanceMakers Summer Nationals in Myrtle Beach, SC - June 21-26, 2025! This will be our first time attending this event and we can't wait!!

Edge Minimum Class & Performance Requirements

Mini Edge (Average Age 7-10)

  • Jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary and 2 productions at competitions
  • Minimum of two days per week taking classes in jazz, ballet, tap, contemporary, hip hop and more. A third weekday is required for competition and convention weeks and sometimes during heavy rehearsal times.
  • Weekend rehearsals (when scheduled)

Junior Edge (Average Age 11-12) Teen Edge (Average Age 13-15) Senior Edge (Average Age 16-18)

  • Jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary and 2 productions at competitions
  • Minimum of three days per week taking classes in jazz, ballet, tap, contemporary, hip hop, and more
  • Weekend rehearsals (when scheduled)

Edge Financial Commitments
Approximate Annual Costs ~ Company Costumes, Convention, Competition, Choreography, Music & Miscellaneous Fees
$5500   ($600 Acceptance Deposit, + Approx $450 per month (June through April)

Additional Deposits Due for all Extra Groups and Solos (Approx $650 per)

Does not include National Fees or any travel expenses

Approximate Tuition Costs Per Month $390   (Sept - May)
