Avery Mason

Dance Instructor & Assistant Instructor

Birthday: October 9

3 Phrases to Describe My Dance Background:

  1. I started dancing at Roswell City Dance Center when I was just 2 years old, where my parents (Mrs. Beth and Mr. Jeff) were teaching at the time.
  2. I started dancing here at Rhythm at 5 years old, and then spent the next 14 years as a Rhythm performing company member until I graduated in 2020! You may recognize me as Aurora in Rhythm year end show: “Rhythm Upon A Dream/Screen” !!!
  3. I have just recently graduated from Kennesaw State University in May of 2024 with a Bachelor of the Arts Degree and a concentration in Ballet. For my first year of post grad, I plan to continue my journey as a teacher and choreographer!

Rhythm Role: My role at Rhythm for this season involves lots of jazz and hip hop moves! For jazz I will teach/choreograph for our Mini Stars, Mini Edge, Mini & Junior Connection performing companies. As for Hip Hop, I will teach/choreograph for Petite, Mini and Junior spotlight, Teen and Senior connection, and Teen and Senior Fusion Performing Companies! I will also be teaching Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Body Awareness, and Acro for recreational classes!

Years Teaching at Rhythm: This is my 6th season at Rhythm as a faculty member!

Fun Fact: My first ever dance teacher was Rhythm faculty member Mrs. Shannon Brown!!

Favorite Rhythm Year-End Show: Whole Rhythm World

When not at Rhythm, I am taking dance classes of my own, or choreographing for high school/college organizations! I love spending time with my friends and family. I also have a pretty serious shopping and Pinterest addiction. I love being outside in the sun, doing hot yoga/pilates, and I could probably eat food and watch Friends for the rest of my life and never get sick of it.
