Elena Franke

Dance Instructor

Birthday: September 24

Three phrases to describe my dance background are:

1. I started dancing at just 2 years old at Rhythm—fun fact: Ms. Dani's mom was my assistant! I grew up through Petite Pizzazz, Spotlight, and proudly graduated from Edge in 2020. Rhythm is where my love for dance began, and it's incredibly special to now be giving back to the studio that shaped me.

2. After taking a short break from dance, I found my way back through teaching and choreographing in college—and instantly fell in love with it. There's nothing better than seeing the lightbulb moments in my students' eyes!

3. I am currently the Director of Dance and Head Dance Team Coach at my alma mater, Blessed Trinity Catholic High School, where I produce multiple performances each year. It has been an incredible full-circle experience to return to a program that played such a meaningful role in my growth as both a dancer and choreographer.

Rhythm Role: Connection & Spotlight Hip Hop, and anywhere else my Rhythm fam needs me to jump in!

Years Teaching at Rhythm: This is my third year teaching—but technically my 18th year at Rhythm! #rhythmboomerang

Fun Fact: I collect trucker hats and you can usually find me sporting one!

Favorite Rhythm Year-End Show: Either Whole Rhythm World, because we got to compete in the Studio of the Year Dance-Off at The Dance Awards, or Wonka and the Rhythm Factory, which was my last in-person recital with the incredible people I grew up dancing with.

When not at Rhythm, I am…At a cute coffee shop, hanging out with my pup Chewie, cheering on the Dawgs, or at the beach!
